Terms of Service

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• One person per account. Keep access to your email secure — anyone with it can sign in as you.
• You are responsible for what is posted from your account.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to store your content, and to display it to the people you have chosen to share it with. That licence ends when you delete the content.

What is not allowed

• Harassment, threats, or targeting individuals.
• Hate speech, or content promoting violence or self-harm.
• Sexual content involving minors, in any form.
• Impersonating another person or organisation.
• Spam, scams, or automated bulk activity.
• Posting material you do not hold the rights to.
• Attempting to breach the security of the service or other accounts.

Moderation

Reported content is reviewed. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend an account. If action is taken against you, you can see it in the app and appeal it — an appeal is reviewed by someone other than whoever made the original decision.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, without warranty. We do not promise uninterrupted availability and we may change or discontinue features. We will give notice of material changes where we reasonably can.

Ending your use

You can stop using Chatu and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Before launch

These terms describe how the product actually behaves, but they have not been reviewed by a lawyer and contain no jurisdiction, governing-law or liability-limitation clauses. Have them reviewed before opening the product publicly.
